Special Presentations

Every month at Norwich and District Photographic Society we give members the opportunity to hear inspirational presentations by photographers who are recognised to be at the top of their game and renowned specialists in their field of photography. The quality and range of subjects included in these Special Presentations are, we believe, unequalled both here in Norfolk and much further afield. Further, arguably alone they more than justify the cost of becoming a member of the Society.

Members of the Society are normally able to attend Special Presentations free of charge. However, NON-MEMBERS wanting to attend a Special Presentation can purchase a guest ticket prior to the event. Guest tickets (subject to availability) must be purchased in advance and are only available from our ticketing partner Eventbrite.co.uk.

Please note the ticket office for each individual presentation when guest tickets are available will open approximately ONE month prior to the date of the presentation after all arrangements for the evening have been agreed and confirmed between the presenter and the Society..

VIRTUAL PRESENTATIONS

Since the COVID-19 restrictions the Society has put together a revised programme of Special Presentations some of which are now presented online.  These have proved to be very successful, with good attendance and we thank all our speakers and members who have adapted to this medium. Since September 2020 we have hosted more than forty different inspirational speakers (some of whom are shown below) who have joined us via zoom from the furthest reaches of the UK, throughout Europe and from much further afield including Australia, Africa, and the United States of America. NDPS will continue to deliver highly illustrated virtual photo-talks from inspirational photographers both here in the UK and from around the world covering a wide spectrum of photographic genres.

Alternatively come and see what the Society has to offer and save money. At the current time you can apply to become a Temporary Member of the Society for £10 for up to 8 weeks and, in addition to being able to attend a maximum of six of our Tuesday meetings including any Special Presentations during that time, you will also be eligible to participate in all the other activities that are being offered.

Purchasing Tickets for individual presentations

There are two easy methods that can be used to purchase your tickets for all Special Events hosted by NDPS through our ticketing partner Eventbrite.co.uk:

Method One: Once the box office is open you can use the link at the bottom of the page to view all forthcoming events that are currently available and purchase the guest tickets you require for the presentation you want to attend.

Method Two: You can also purchase tickets by opening the event you are interested in attending either on the Main Programme/Special Events page or in the featured events below where you will also find an active link once the box office is open.
