MEMBERS’ EVENING - WILDLIFE IN COLD PLACES (7:30pm) - A highly illustrated photo-talk by Peter Jones ARPS, DPAGB, BPE3* and Sue Wilson DPAGB, BPE3*. All the photographs were taken in the winter time with temperature’s down to minus 50, its about the wildlife who survive in such cold conditions.
Peter has a lifetime interest in Natural History. He is the founder of Wildwatch Tours - specialising in in Wildlife Photographic Holidays around the World that he successfully ran with Sue Wilson for 26 years until they both retired recently.
This meeting will take place in the Interactive Studio at City Academy Norwich.

DEADLINE FOR PDI ENTRIES FOR MOMENTS 24 EXHIBITION (11:00pm). This is a new photographic exhibition showcasing the recent work by the members of Norwich & District Photographic Society (exhibits selected by Graeme Taplin – President of the Society).
All current members of NDPS are eligible to enter a maximum of THREE (3) digital images to be considered for selection by the deadline. Use the ‘Exhibition’ option and add the reference MX24 to the end of the filename when submitting images.





THE EAF EXHIBITION 2024 OPENS (2:00pm) at Wingfield Barns, Church Road, Wingfield, Eye, Suffolk IP21 5RA. The awards will be presented in the Main Barn by Nick Akers ARPS BPE3*, President of the EAF, followed by a full-screen projected display of the accepted PDI images. The accepted Prints will be on display in the gallery opposite. The exhibition closes on Sunday 19th May. Visit www.eaf.org.uk for full details.


DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF ENTRIES FOR THE LAST ROUND OF THE ANNUAL DIGITAL LEAGUE (7:00pm) For this round there’s no explicit subject for the themed image. You are being given the freedom to inspire with your photography, no matter the style, subject matter or genre but the themed image must be presented in monochrome.
For example, landscapes, portraits, reportage, conceptual, personal documentary, travel, and so on - whatever ‘rocks your boat’. From spontaneous street moments to meticulous studio set-ups,
However, entries must be new images taken in the previous 12 months (prior to the deadline date for submissions) – this is an opportunity to showcase your technique, vision and creativity. For obvious reasons colour images are not allowed.
As normal a second free-choice image may also be submitted. Add the reference DLR5T to thefilename of the ‘THEMED’ image and DLR5F to the free-choice image.
The competition will take place in the Interactive Studio at City Academy.

TUESDAY 7th MAY - PHOTOGRAPHIC PROJECTS AND PHOTOBOOKS - STEWART WALL (7:30pm)
Join us tonight for an exciting talk with Stewart Wall..! Learn how to create captivating photography projects and stunning photobooks. Stewart, with decades of experience as a press photographer and a prolific photobook creator, will reveal his professional secrets.
This meeting will take place in the Interactive Studio at City Academy Norwich.

WEDNESDAY 8th MAY - PHOTOBOOK WORKSHOP WITH STEWART WALL (10:00am)
A maximum of 12 NDPS members will have the opportunity to participate in an exclusive  photobook workshop the following Stewart’s talk last night (see above) in the City of Norwich and learn firsthand Stewart’s methods for creating photobooks.
A few spaces remain, reserve your place via the Booking System.

SATURDAY 11th MAY - PICTORIALISTS GROUP SHOOT, OLD VICARAGE GARDENS EAST RUNTON (12:00noon)
A 32 acre garden containing a wide variety of planting, each in its own garden room and micro climate with varied and interesting planting. According to the website, that includes “herbaceous borders, gravel gardens, sub-tropical gardens, a box parterre, sunken rose garden, Mediterranean garden, Desert Wash and a large woodland garden”. That doesn’t begin to do it justice though, it’s a unique experience with some interesting views through the garden to the Norfolk landscape.
A few places still remain so if you wish to attend don’t delay booking your place via the Booking System.
