How To Name and Submit Your Image
Submit an image
Submitting Digitally Projected Images (DPIs) for either POTY or any other society competition is completely automated and images are submitted via the appropriate links on the right. Name and save your image files in the following manner then click on the relevant button to submit your image.
The competition software that we use has the following naming convention:
IMAGE TITLE_First Surname_REFERENCE
eg WOODLAND IN SPRING_Fred Smith_POTY1. Take care not to use a hyphen (-) instead of an underscore (_) and slso use CAPITAL LETTERS as indicated.
Please take care to follow the naming convention as failure to do so makes organising the files more difficult.
If we receive incorrectly titled files they will be returned for you to correct. Please ask if you’re not sure.
The software puts all text before the underscore of the file name into the ‘member-name’ section exactly as you type it – if you use variations on your name for each round you will appear as different entrants in each round.
For example - if you start by calling yourself Karen Smith, don't enter images in later rounds as Kaz Smith or K Smith - your scores won't end up being aggregated.
The software puts all text after the underscore into the “image title” section – this is exactly how the title will be projected in the competition - if you want words to start with a capital letter then use a capital letter.
Images submitted using this option will be added to the NDPS Image database. Images should be High Resolution without reduction in size in either Jpeg, psd, tiff or png format.
Files should named using the convention set-out above.
Images in the database will be reviewed regularly to identify those that have the potential to be used in forthcoming Battles and External Competitions. Friendly feedback will also be provided to members from time to time where appropriate
